2006 Miles to Date

Dan on Bike did a posting of his 2006 miles to date, and I got curious as to just how many miles I have on the bike this year. I pulled the data out of the Spinner Database and was pleasantly surprised to find that I have 1854.9 miles in the saddle this year, or if you use metric, that's 2984.53 km. This is the equivalent of riding my bike from here in Lafayette to Ontario, Oregon. Another way to look at it might be from Darwin, Australia to Adelaide: That distance is 1879 miles or 3024 km. That would put me about 24 miles out of Darwin if I had left Adelaide. Granted, it's been done over a 7 month period, but this tells me that I could do these tours!
